Friday night the Panthers traveled to cross-town rival Coloma and dropped a hard fought game 24-16. Despite waiting out 2 separate lightning delays, the game was back and forth all night, but with a few missed opportunities for Watervliet and a couple of big plays from the Comets, they came out on top. The Panthers had the ball going in to tie, but couldn’t capitalize in the final drive.

On a wet night, the run game was effective for the Panthers with Don Smith going for 138 yards and 2 TD’s. Brandon Petty chipped in with 77 yards on a few long runs and Tyson Williams grinded out 52 yards from the QB spot along with completing 3 passes.

The Panther Defense held strong versus the grind it out Comet Ground Game with Don Smith leading the team at 9 tackles.

The Panthers travel to Parchment for their last regular season game next week.
