The boys cross squad had its best showing since 2014 at the Portage Invitational finishing 15th in a field of 40 that included many of the best teams in the state. On a course wet and muddy from the morning’s race-delaying storms, the Panthers experienced very mixed performances. A high note was that for the first time this season they were able to finish two runners in the 17s in the same race. Gus Hinch finished 26th overall and set a new PR crossing the line in 17:27. Ezra Troyer grabbed 51st with his 17:56. Kade Van Niel rounded out the top three Panthers keeping things consistent with an 18:53.
