The Panther boys finished 12th out of 40 teams at the Portage Invitational. Taking advantage of great competition and great racing conditions, the team posted 9 new PRs. Ezra Troyer and Gus Hinch pushed each other to new personal bests as Ezra finished 40th in 17:18 with Gus just one spot back in 17:19. Kody Edmonds proved that his recent time drop is no fluke as he once again came in around the 18-minute mark – this time in 18:02. Trever Pelton lowered his best time by 8 seconds to 18:28. Camdon Geisler broke the 20-minute barrier for the first time posting a 19:49, while Abel Villareal lowered his time by 37 seconds to 20:09. Midfielder Mason Pennington broke under 21 minutes for his first time lowering his best time by 41 seconds to 20:27. Aaron Leoni returned after an injury layoff and didn’t miss a beat as he lowered his best time by 5 seconds to 21:47. Two more new personal bests were captured by Jake Kroepel and Nick Orlando as each knocked off nearly a minute from their time.
