Kade VanNiel’s Walkoff Hit Gives the Watervliet Panthers JV Victory Over Brandywine in the First Game of the Season.

A walk-off single led the Panthers JV past Brandywine 5-4 on Thursday in Game 1 of the Double-Header. The game was tied at four when in the bottom of the fifth, Kade VanNiel singled on a 2-2 count scoring Jordyn Angelo who lead off the inning with a double.

Joshua Reeves toed the rubber for the Panthers. He surrendered four runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three and walking zero.

The Panthers collected eight hits on the day. Angelo and Cole Pline each collected two hits to lead the Panthers with Josh Reeves, Dylan Tucker and Dylan Lawson also adding to the hit total.

The Panthers JV are 1-0 on the season.
