Watervliet High School

Watervliet scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saugatuck Trailblazers. Despite the loss, Watervliet still got an impressive performance from Caleb Jewell, who rushed for 202 yards and a pair of TDs and also threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns. The Panthers' leading receiver Cole Getz was Jewell's top target yet again, picking up 12 catches for 192 receiving yards and two scores. With the final game they finish 2-7 on the season, the record does not give justice to how well they played in many of the games. I want to thank the 11 Seniors for a great season.
