The JV Volleyball team went to Martin on Saturday. They started the day in pool play playing against Black River(21-10, 21-12), Martin(21-18, 21-14), and Delton Kellogg(21-14, 17-21). Serves and communication were the keys in pool play. Ayvah Domingo, Alexis Eberhard, and Alivia Raymond led the team in serves. Ayvah had 13 aces and Alexis had 12 aces. Ayvah, Alexis and Alivia all had multiple games with 5+ serving streaks. The girls were 5-1 in pool play and took first in the pool. Going into bracket, the girls were third. This had the team playing Mendon. The girls lost to Mendon in the first set 10-21, but pull it back and fought for the second set win 21-10. The last set serves and passing struggles hit hard with the girls lost the last set 5-15. This was by far the best team play the girls have had this year. The communication, encouragement, and excitement was there all day. Through the ups and downs of the day, the girls really pushed through. We are all looking forward to seeing this continue through the last games of the season. The girls return to play on Wednesday home against Lawton and Gobles.
