Watervliet emerged victorious over Gobles in an exciting five-set match on Thursday. The Panthers played tough defense all night, racking up over 50 team digs to secure the win. Defensively, Ava Hobson and Brianna Zwar anchored the back row, leading the team with 19 digs. Strong performances were also noted from Emma Owen, Katelynn Kostrzewa, and Gianna Berry, who each contributed over 7 digs to the defensive effort. On offense, freshman Braelyn Campbell led the team in kills with 7. Adding to the kill tally were Ava Thomas, Adelyn Campbell, Ava Hobson, Isabella Bultema, Kelsea Gaston, and Aubrey Winnell. The Panthers will play away on Tuesday before returning for their last home match on Thursday, October 23rd.
