Watervliet High School

The Varsity Volleyball team put up a fight but fell to the South Haven Rams in three sets. Despite the loss, the Panthers demonstrated both tough defense and aggressive net play throughout the match. The first two sets the Panthers shared the lead with the Rams multiple times. However, the Panthers struggled to close out the sets when it counted, falling just short in both efforts. Unfortunately, the positive momentum did not carry into the third set, where the Panthers struggled to string points together. Despite the final score, the team showed flashes of strong play, executing defensive plays and displaying aggressive play at the net. The Panthers will look to carry that intensity into their next match. The Panthers head to Gobles on 10/16 for their next matchup.
