Watervliet High School

The middle school cross country team competed this past weekend in Regionals at Portage West Middle School. For the girls, Ally Casiano took first place out of 78 runners with a time of 12:11. This would also be a PR for Ally. Addy Tyler also finished the year with a PR with a time of 14:45 which would give her a 26th place finish. Lianna and Lisette Perez finished within a second of each other with times of 15:24 and 15:25 respectively while Marissa Alcaraz battled through her injury and finished with a great time of 19:39. The middle school boys finished with three runners in the top 15 and all boys finished with a PR. Victor Lopez took 5th place with a time of 12:07, Kevin Hernandez-Cruz took 9th with a time of 12:30, and Daniel finished 13th with a time of 12:48. Colt Mattner improved his PR by a minute and 30 seconds running a 14:36 and Ozlon Smith also improved his PR by 4 seconds running a 17:41.
