Soccer (Boys Varsity) Scores

Boy’s Varsity Team traveled away to Bangor this morning for the 1st Annual Bangor Soccer Invite. The Panthers would face the hosts in the first game. The team would quickly get on the scoreboard with two consecutive goals by JT Isbrecht. Adrian Hernandez in his return to the pitch would net in the third for the team to give the Panthers the 3-0 lead into the half. The second half would start a bit rocky, as the Vikings would score twice to cut the lead to 1. However, Adrian would score his second of the match via a Tony Perez assist and with less than a minute left on the clock, captain Nathan Harasewicz would score the 5th and final goal for the win. Varsity vs Bangor High School (5-2) Win In the championship game for the Bangor Invite, the Panthers would take the early lead via Emiliano Cardoso against the South Haven Rams. Despite playing a very strong and aggressive game, the Rams would be able to capitalize and score twice to give them lead 2-1 into the half. In the second half, the team fought hard and created chances to tie the game up but would be unlucky in front of goal. With a lot of players committed up front, the Rams would score two more goals in counter-attacks. Sam Casiano would cut the deficit with 3 minutes left in the game, after his free-kick shot would split in between the South Haven wall and into the back of the net.
