The girls cross country had an excellent showing at the 13-team Berrien County meet finishing 4th - the best finish since 2016. Daniela Romero and Miranda Lowell led the charge as both got new PRs of 21:34 and 21:47 for 10th and 14th place. Payton Yeske, Katelyn Brown, and Alex Zuniga rounded out the team's scoring as each posted new PRs of 22:45, 23:15, and 23:46. Other PRs or Season Bests were turned in by Stephany Villarreal, Sophia Lechuga, Lilly Perez, Nahduleigh Robart, and Sophie Grear. The boys finished 6th as a team with Sam Casiano finishing 8th with a time of 17:22. Kaden Leiter, Gabe Martinez, Eathan Burnett, Korvin Kirby, and Jonah Robart all paced their way to new PRs. The teams now get ready for Saturday's Portage Invitational.
