Watervliet High School

The Panthers defeated the Comets 3-1, with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-15, and 25-20. Junior Ava Hobson and sophomore Ava Thomas were the team's top attackers, while Kelsie Gaston led in assists. On defense, the Panthers were strong at the net, with senior Isabella Bultema and freshman Aubrey Winnell slowing down the Comets' attacks with several blocks. Back-row defenders Emma Owen, Addison Smith, and Brianna Zwar each recorded more than 10 digs, and Katelynn Kostrzewa had some big, momentum-changing digs. A great team effort from every player led to the Panthers' first SAC Lakeshore Division win. The team's victory was supported by a great turnout and an energetic atmosphere from students and the community.
