The Varsity Panthers fell to Kalamazoo United 47-6 in their final game of the season, finishing the year with a 1-7 record. While the final score didn’t go our way, the night was about much more than football. It was about recognizing seven seniors who have given so much to our program over the last four years. It has been a privilege to watch these young men grow, not only as football players, but into the young men they are today. They have helped raise the standard for Watervliet football, embraced the culture we are building, and left their mark on this program in ways that go far beyond the scoreboard. As our younger Panthers sent these seniors off, we were reminded that football is about more than wins and losses. It’s about relationships, growth, brotherhood, and the memories made along the way. To our seven seniors, thank you for your commitment, your hard work, and everything you have given to Watervliet football. We are proud of the young men you have become and excited to see what the future holds for each of you. Your playing days as Panthers may be coming to an end, but you will always be part of this family. The foundation you helped build will carry on with the next generation of Panthers.
