MS Football trailed early 14-0 to South Haven but fought back an tied it up late in the 1st half. Mason Palmer found paydirt from 5 yards out and added a 2 point conversion pitch and catch from Bryce Lanning to Caleb Guajardo the panthers would also convert a 4th down and long conversion- Lanning to Zander Sexton on a 40 yard TD pass. Late in the second Lanning would find Robert Brooks on a 5 yard TD pass. Trailing 34-20 in the 4th Qtr the Panthers would turn the ball over late inside the Rams 20 yard line. With 3:00 to play the panther D came up with a huge turnover. Carter Freed would pop the ball free and Lanning's 60 YRD scoop and score made the score 34-26. The boys would then get a great on sides kick by Logan Hernandez and a Freed recovery to set the boys up with a chance to tie. They would work the ball down inside the 20 and fall short. Shoutout to the OLINE -Jonjevic, Headen, Walmer, Paris and Freed as well as the panther Defense. They travel to Saugatuck next Wed and then back home to take on that team from the west Oct 21st.
