Watervliet JV Panthers Roll Past Parchment, Improve to 2-1 The Watervliet JV football team earned an impressive home victory over Parchment on Thursday, September 17, improving to 2-1 while holding the Panthers to just six points. Watervliet’s explosive offense and strong defensive effort powered the Panthers to a 49-6 win. Quarterback Owen Williams led the way, completing 13 of 16 passes for 299 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed three times for 28 yards and two touchdowns, accounting for six total scores. Mason Kinzler was Watervliet’s top receiver, catching four passes for 122 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Bowman added two receptions for 47 yards and a score, while Braidyn Dawson caught two passes for 46 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Walker contributed two catches for nine yards and a touchdown, along with five rushing attempts for 41 yards. Mason Bradley recorded a 42-yard reception, and Isaiah Ledesma finished with three catches for 36 yards. Jonah Osegueda added 25 rushing yards and a touchdown on two carries. Coach Golden praised the offensive line of Eli Woods, Jackson Halamka, Noah Fuller, Dallas Clark, Camden Wollett and Carter Davis played a key role in the victory, providing strong protection and giving Williams time to make plays downfield. Defensively, Watervliet limited Parchment to six points. Eli Woods and Walker led the Panthers’ defensive effort as Watervliet controlled the game and secured its second win of the season. Watervliet will take its 2-1 record on the road next Thursday against the Lawton Blue Devils.
