Watervliet Public Schools

The Panther runners returned to action for the first time in two weeks and showed that a lot of improvement has happened during that time. Nearly every runner posted faster times than they did in the opening meet in Bridgman. The girls squad showed great team depth as they put 6 runners in the top 18 to finish second overall, only 1 point behind meet champion Gobles. Daniella Romero was 5th, Miranda Lowell 9th, and Stephany Villarreal 10th. The wave of maroon runners continued with Katelyn Brown grabbing 12th, followed by Alex Zuniga in 13th, and Payton Yeske in 18th. Sam Casiano was the top boys finisher posting a time of 17:08 for 5th place. Daniel Maack, Korvin Kirby, Stephany Villarreal, Alex Zuniga, Lily Maldonado, and Valerie Gamino all set new PRs.
