Watervliet made the trip east count on Friday, exploding offensively in an 18-3 win over Hartford in game one of the doubleheader. The Panthers’ bats were relentless, piling up 18 hits on the day. Emma Kirksey led the charge with a dominant 4-for-5 performance at the plate, driving in five runs to pace the offense. Leila Liberto-Taylor matched that production with a single, triple, and five RBI, while Kaylee Bartee added two hits and three RBI. Alexis Eberhard collected three singles and an RBI, Madison Eberhard chipped in with two hits and an RBI, and Kendle Kiefer added a pair of singles. Sienna Bulat and Ava Trapp each contributed doubles, with Trapp driving in two runs. Kirksey also handled business in the circle, going six innings while allowing just four hits and striking out eight to earn the win. With the offense firing on all cylinders, the Panthers look to carry that momentum into the nightcap.
