The Panther golf team faced off in the annual Red Arrow Cup showdown with Coloma on Wednesday. It was cold and windy, but the Panther golfers were hot. The match play format meant the Panther golfers needed to win 4 out of 8 matches on the day to retain the Cup. Things started well in the morning matches at Lake Michigan Hills as they took 3 out 4 matches. Lucas Wilder and Aiden Wolford led the way winning their first 5 holes to take their match 5 and 4. Connor VanLente and Ashton Coleman ensured a big lead heading into the afternoon when they won the 9th hole to take their match one up. It was more of the same in the afternoon matches at Paw Paw Lake. Moeko Crago and Wyatt Wagner rolled their Comet opponents winning the first 5 holes. Freshman Gavin Downey got into the action teaming with VanLente in the afternoon on the way to another Panther victory. The final margin was 6-2 Panthers as they won the Red Arrow Cup for the 4th straight year and 7 of the last 8. Senior Moeko Crago, playing in her final Red Arrow Cup has been a part of the past three wins. The golf team will travel to Bridgman on Friday for the final Division tournament of the year.
