The Panthers showed grit but couldn’t overcome an early deficit in a 13-2 loss to the Brandywine Bobcats. After falling behind 10-3, Watervliet responded with an explosive offensive surge, racking up 15 hits and three home runs. Emma Kirksey led the charge at the plate with two home runs and two RBIs, while Leila Liberto-Taylor added a single, a home run, and two RBIs. Freshman Alexis Eberhard continued her strong play with two singles, a double, and two RBIs, and fellow freshman Rae Prestidge delivered in a big way with two singles and four RBIs. Ava Thomas and Ava Trapp each contributed two hits, Sienna Bulat added a single, and Kendal Kiefer chipped in with a double as the Panthers’ lineup stayed aggressive throughout.
