The Watervliet Panthers completed the doubleheader sweep in impressive fashion, defeating the Fennville Blackhawks 11-1 in game two of SAC-Lakeshore divisional play. Mackenzie Birmele led the way in the circle, earning the win with a strong six-inning performance. She allowed just two hits and one run while walking one and striking out four, keeping the Blackhawks in check throughout the game. Offensively, the Panthers continued to produce. Madison Eberhard paced the lineup with a single, double, and two RBIs, including the go-ahead double that helped seal the victory. Leila Liberto-Taylor added a big swing as well, delivering a triple and driving in two runs. Defensively, Watervliet was sharp and fundamentally sound. Rae Prestidge and Kate Kostrzewa anchored a clean effort as the Panthers committed no errors in the contest. With the win, the Panthers improve to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the SAC-Lakeshore, continuing their strong start to the season. The Panthers continue their divisional play on Thursday, as they host the Allegan Tigers. WP-Birmele Hitters- M. Eberhard 1b, 2b, RBI Liberto-Taylor- 3b, 2 RBI’s
