Watervliet Public Schools

The Watervliet Panthers opened up divisional conference play in dominant fashion, rolling past the visiting Fennville Blackhawks 14-0 in game one of a doubleheader. The Panthers set the tone early and never let up, combining timely hitting with a strong performance in the circle. Madison Eberhard contributed with a single, while Emma Kirksey added a hit and an RBI to help spark the offense. Rae Prestidge came through with a single and drove in two runs, and Ava Trapp delivered one of the big hits of the game with a triple and two RBIs. Kirksey was equally impressive on the mound, earning the win with a five-inning performance. She allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out 10, keeping the Blackhawks off balance all game long. With the win, the Panthers start conference play on a high note and look to carry that momentum through the rest of the doubleheader.
