Watervliet Public Schools

The Golf team had their first tournament Tuesday night at Lake Michigan Hills. It was quite a different team from last year with 4 players playing in their first varsity tournament and 3 playing in their first ever tournament. The team battled some nerves and a tough course to finish 6th, but on the bright side were just 11 strokes out of 3rd. So, definitely some opportunities in the future for improvement. Connor VanLente led the way with a 47, which was good for 11th overall. Wyatt Wagner and Moeko Crago both posted solid scores of 51 and 53 respectively. Ashton Coleman rounded out the scoring for the Panthers with a 60. The Panthers will tee it up again on Thursday at The Ravines in Saugatuck.
