Watervliet Public Schools

The Panthers came up short in game two of their doubleheader against the Tigers, falling 5–3 in a closely contested matchup. Emma Kirksey paced the Panthers’ offense with an impressive performance at the plate, collecting two doubles and driving in a run. Rae Prestidge also contributed offensively with a double and an RBI to help keep Watervliet within striking distance. In the circle, Mackenzie Brimele battled through six innings of work for the Panthers, but was charged with the loss. With the defeat, Watervliet moves to 3–2 on the season. The Panthers will look to bounce back this Saturday as they travel to compete in the St. John Tournament.
