Varsity vs Schoolcraft High School (11 - 4) Win Varsity vs Schoolcraft High School (5 - 3) Win The Panthers Softball Team were victorious against Schoolcraft Eagles 5-3 on Wednesday at Watervliet in a two of a Double Header. Watervliet got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Ava Trapp laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Kaylee Bartee walked, each scoring one run. Ava Thomas earned the win for Watervliet. The hurler allowed seven hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking three. Bianca Agnone took the loss for Schoolcraft. The hurler went six innings, giving up five runs on seven hits, striking out eight and walking six. Trapp went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Liela Liberto-Taylor and Trapp each collected two hits for Watervliet. Bartee led the Panthers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Trapp stole two bases. Agnone went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Valerie Devries went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Schoolcraft Eagles in hits. The Eagles were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Brynn Bozell had the most chances in the field with eight.
