The Varsity Girls Basketball team fell on the road to a strong South Haven squad, 61-26 Tuesday night. Watervliet played the SAC Lakeshore Division champions tough for the first 16 minutes of the game, and found themselves down by 3 after the first quarter and trailed by 11 going into the break. The second half started out strong as the Panthers got out in transition after forcing a number of turnovers which led to easy buckets. The lead was briefly cut to single digits before the Rams pulled away. Leading the Panthers on the night were Isabella Bultema 8, Leila Liberto Taylor 5, Emma Owens 4, Aubrey Winnell 4, Moeko Crago 3, and Addie Smith 2. The Panthers fall to 8-13 on the season and host Black River at home on Thursday to wrap up the regular season. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00pm.
