7th Grade Maroon vs Saugatuck Middle School (31 - 20) Win The Panthers battled their way to another impressive victory, taking down Saugatuck in a high-energy showdown fueled by defense and balanced scoring. From the opening tip, the Panthers turned up the pressure with full-court defense that forced turnovers and created steal after steal. Those defensive stops quickly turned into scoring opportunities. Offensively, it was a true team effort. Eight Panthers found their way into the scoring column — Towne, McMiller, Bohle, Casino, Hanko, Westfall, Flowers, and Butler — showcasing the depth and versatility of this squad. Each bucket added momentum as the team steadily built its advantage. The defensive presence didn’t stop on the perimeter. Down low, McMiller and Westfall met their match in the paint, battling hard for position and pulling down rebounds all night. Their physical play helped control the boards and limit second-chance opportunities for Saugatuck. In total, 10 players contributed meaningful minutes, each embracing their role and making an impact. The commitment to teamwork and effort on both ends of the floor continues to define this group. With the win, the Panthers improve to 7-0 on the season. They’ll look to keep the momentum rolling as they hit the road Thursday to take on Black River.
