JV Panthers Defeat Red Arrow Junior Varsity vs New Buffalo Senior High School (29 - 23) Win On Saturday evening, the Lady Panthers hosted the Red Arrow Raiders. The Raiders conquered the Panthers earlier on in the season where the Raiders trailed 18-6 at halftime and came out to win 29-25. The Panthers would look to avenge that loss. The Panthers would jump out to a solid 1st quarter holding the Raiders to 4 points and taking a 8-4 lead. The Panthers slowed down in the second quarter which allowed the Raiders to take an 11-10 lead at half. Panthers defense in the 2nd half turned up the intensity which forced Red Arrow to commit turnovers. The Panthers offense found its groove in the second half as the team always had 1 more pass mindset. Panthers defense held the Raiders to a 3 point 3rd quarter taking a 19-14 lead into the 4th. The Raiders would come within 2 points with 3 minutes remaining 25-23. The Panthers broke the Raiders pressure to score 2 quick points and would seal the game with a late Raider turnover followed with a Panthers bucket on the fast break to walk away with a 29-23 victory.
