JV Lady Panthers fall to Schoolcraft After Strong First Half Junior Varsity vs Schoolcraft High School (27 - 31) Loss On Saturday afternoon, the Panthers hosted the Eagles from Schoolcraft in a make up game from previous weather. The ladies fired on all cylinders with a strong first quarter, the team played aggressive on offense while the defense held the Eagles to 6 points. The Panthers would lead 12-6 after the 1st. Eagles would search for an answer in the 2nd however, the Panthers stayed hot as they would head to the half with a 20-12 lead. Schoolcraft would find an answer in the 3rd and hold the Panthers to a 2 point 3rd quarter. Panthers would still maintain a 22-20 lead heading into the 4th. Panthers would look to finish off the Eagles, defense stayed annoying the opposing team as they forced multiple turnovers. Schoolcraft would recover well and prevent many Panthers fast break opportunities. Eagles would grab the lead with 3 minutes left and seal the deal with 2 free throws with 5 seconds remaining. Panthers would attempt a shot in those seconds but it did not fall as Schoolcraft would win 31-27. The Panthers are back in action on Thursday as they travel to Bridgman to take on the Bees.
