Watervliet Maroon JV Boys Basketball pulled off an exciting 37–36 victory over Dowagiac in a thrilling, hard-fought game. The Panthers brought great energy and intensity from the opening tip, battling through adversity all night. Watervliet trailed by four points at halftime after struggling to find rhythm offensively, and faced an 11-point deficit (29–18) heading into the fourth quarter. Refusing to back down, the Panthers exploded for 19 points in the final quarter, outscoring Dowagiac 19–7 to complete the comeback. Owen Williams led the way with 13 points, including 7 clutch points in the fourth quarter. Ayden Domingo added 10 points, 8 of which came in the final period, followed by Isaias Mendez with 6 points and Aaron Alvarado with 4 points. A tremendous team effort fueled by energy, intensity, and resilience sealed a memorable win for the Panthers. Panthers take on Coloma on Thursday (1/8) at 6:00.
