Watervliet Public Schools

The Watervliet Panther Girl's Basketball team fell against a talented Lawton team 58-28 this afternoon at home. Lawton got out of the gate quickly outpacing the Panthers 41 - 9 in the first half. The Panthers came alive in the second half as they played the Blue Devils even the rest of the way. Scoring for the Panthers were Daijahnae Hatcher 6, Leila Liberto Taylor 4, Isabella Bultema 4, Addison Smith 3, Marissa Lowell 3, Emma Owens 2, Kate Kostrzewa 2, Moeko Crago 1, and Gianna Berry 1. The Panthers fall to 4-1 on the season. They are next in action tomorrow as they travel to Detroit to take on Lawrence at Little Caesar's Arena. Tip off is scheduled for noon.
