Watervliet Public Schools

The Watervliet Wrestling team completed its first week of competition last week, with Wednesday team duals in Allegan, and a variety of individual tournaments over the weekend. On Wednesday the Panthers had team duals against Schoolcraft and Allegan. The Panthers would fall to both perennial powerhouse teams. JT Isbrecht won both of his matches, and Josh Koch won one of his two. On Friday evening the ladies traveled to Bangor to compete in the 2025 Bangor Girls Invitational. Brooklyn Woollett and Maria Hernandez-Cruz both finished 2nd in their respective brackets, and Naduhleigh Robart finished 4th. Alana Pecharich also earned her first win of the season. On Saturday most of the guys were in Coloma for Coloma JV Tournament, while a handful represented the school in Allegan for the 2025 Southwest Michigan Classic. In Coloma, Josh Koch finish in 2nd place in his bracket, while Sam Roland, Gavin Leiter, and Braiden Robard all earned their first win of the season. In Allegan, JT Isbrecht finished 4th while Kaden Leither won two matches but fell just shy of the podium. The Panthers will be back in action on Wednesday, December 10th when they travel to Martin for a pair of team duals.
