Watervliet High School

Watervliet 8th grade Maroon Basketball opened the All Area Tournament with a win over Michigan Lutheran 45-30. After an underwhelming first half effort the panthers would take a 14-12 lead into the locker room. The second half would see the Panthers increase their defensive intensity and a team first offensive approach which allowed them to out score the Titans 19-3 in the third quarter. Mason Kinzler and Eli Wood were dominant in the post scoring 16 and 12 points respectively on the night. Isaiah Ledesma would finish with 9 and Mason Bradley had 6. Panthers play in the tournament semi finals Saturday afternoon at St Joe High School.
