Meet Recap

The Panthers toed the line with 43 other schools at the Portage Invite. With most of the top teams in the state in attendance, the Panthers finished 29th on a day that saw mixed performances. Gus Hinch closed in on the 17s as he took 19 more seconds off his time to finish the course in 18:03. Ezra Troyer and Kody Edmonds were the next fastest posting 19:01 and 19:06, respectively. The fourth-fastest time of the day came from Kade Van Neil who broke the 20-minute barrier for the first time with his 19:57. Alex Isbrecht nearly joined him in the sub-20 club as he crossed the line as the clock hit 20 minutes exactly. Matt Hanks and Aaron Leoni also posted new PRs as Matt took 38 seconds off in posting his 20:48 and Aaron tore a full 70 seconds off his previous best to cross the line in 22:17.
On the girls side, Kate Sutherland also showed significant improvement lowering her time by 96 seconds.
