Game Recap

The Panthers lost a tough one to host Schoolcraft last night 14-12. It was a clean hard fought game throughout with many big hits from both teams. The Panthers won the coin toss and elected to receive which led to us driving the ball down the field and punching it in the end zone with a pass from Tyson Williams to Tristan O’Neal, to take an early 6-0 lead. Schoolcraft then fumbled on their opening drive but the Panthers were not able to capitalize. The second quarter began with Schoolcraft getting their first point of the game to take an 8-6 lead, but the Panthers answered right back to take the lead going into halftime with a great, tough run by Tommy Sando. After halftime, Schoolcraft drove down the field and took the lead which would be for good. The Panthers still had a chance at the end thanks in part to an impressive hustle play by Sumner Robbins, chasing their running back down for 50 yards from across the field to make the tackle at the 2 yard line. That lead to a great goal line stance by the Panthers facing a 1st and goal from the 2, which only led to the Eagles losing yards. This Panther team is young and is only getting better as the year continues. This drops the Panthers record to 2-2 on the season with 2 home games remaining.
