Game Recap

To put it lightly, the Watervliet Lady Panthers came out sluggish the first half against their rival, the Coloma Comets. The Panthers scored a season low 11 points in the first half, and Coloma took a 14-11 lead into the half. Watervliet decided to play their game the 2nd half, coming out aggressively on defense, forcing turnovers, and moving the ball for good shots. Jaelyn Pitre changed the game with her torrid shooting, knocking down 4 triples in the decisive third quarter. The Lady Panthers outscored their rivals 31-8 in the 2nd half and came away with a 42-22 victory. Katie Schultz made three triples of her own, and finished with 13 points. Pitre also had 4 steals and 2 assists. The Lady Panthers made 10 three’s in the game, with 8 coming in the second half. The Lady Panthers are now 8-0 in the SAC Lakeshore Division and 12-3 overall.
