Game Recap

The Watervliet Lady Panthers opened the season against a very good Kalamazoo Hackett team. The Lady Panthers fought hard and took the lead midway through the third quarter, but Hackett’s experience took over in the fourth quarter and pulled away for the win. Missed free throws and key turnovers were the difference in the game. Watervliet was led in scoring by Zoe Smith and Katie Schultz with nine points each, and Logan Mizwicki added eight. Mizwicki added 5 steals and 6 rebounds, while Kara Liles pulled down nine rebounds. Taylor Shafer played very well coming off the bench. The Lady Panthers will face another tough test on Friday as they travel to Delton Kellogg.
