Game Recap

The Watervliet Panthers MS football team played the Hartford Indians tonight that ended in a 14-14 tie to remain unbeaten on the year with a 4-0-1 record. The Panthers and Indians battled it out all night in conditions that included heavy rain and strong winds. The Panthers had their chance at the end of the game but came up just 5 yards short as time expired. Needless to say, there wasn’t much passing in this game which restricted the Panthers offense to mainly run the ball. Defensively our kids played hard all night, coming up with some big stops in the second half of the ball game. Due to the conditions, unfortunately no stats were taken during the game. On behalf of the players and coaches, I’d like to thank all the parents that stuck it out with us to watch this game. Next Wednesday the Panthers are at home for their final game of the year against Constantine. Game time is 5pm.
