Watervliet High School
Coloma High School
The Lady Panthers came out in the opening ten minutes with good energy against the Comets of Coloma, but the experience and speed of the Comet attack was too much allowing a goal midway through the first half. The Lady Panther defense continued to tire over the course of the first 40 minutes of action causing to much separation and allowing space for the speed of Coloma to take advantage and net two more goals just before half-time to take a 3-0 lead into the second half.
The Panthers made half-time adjustments and played much more soundly on the defensive end of the pitch allowing a goal in the final 90 seconds of the match off from a free kick awarded on a foul call during a 50/50 tackle.
Players of the match for the Lady Panthers were: Freshman Goalkeeper Victoria Smith, Center Midfielder Hannah Armstrong and Freshman Forward Emma Kraklau.
