Meet Recap

The girls cross country squad won their fourth invitational of the season by claiming the top spot at the Bangor Invitational. The team was missing three of its usual seven varsity runners and was just looking to run some good times, but thanks to some great performances by ladies who really stepped it up, the girls were able to bring home the championship trophy. Allie Pazera led the charge knocking 30 more seconds off her time to finish 3rd in 21:07. Taylor Shafer also knocked another boatload of seconds off her time to get 7th in 21:51. Brittney Johnson grabbed 14th place while Bailey Evans was the fourth Panther in the top 20 with her season best 23:59. Jade Miller stepped up big time shaving a half-minute off her time to wrap up the team’s scoring with a 24:56 30th-place finish. The varsity victory was rounded out with two season best performances by Alyssa Hobson and Melissa Swanson. In the JV race, both Lauren Zabel and Kacie Shafer paced themselves to new personal records.
