Meet Recap

The Panther girls literally and figuratively ran away with the team title at the Teske Invitational finishing first in the 8-team field. The Panthers’ 28 points easily outdistanced the second-place squad from Gobles who finished with 66 points, while Hartford grabbed third with 84 points. This marks the third straight year the Watervliet girls have been the team champions at the Teske Invitational. Freshmen Allie Pazera and Senior Gabby Tavolacci continue to be a dual threat at the front as they finished 2nd and 3rd with times of 22:01 and 22:22. The great team effort continued with Senior Brittney Johnson and Sophomore Taylor Shafer crossing the line in 5th and 6th with times of 23:13 and 23:37. Junior Martha Casiano brought the team scoring to a close with a 24:31 12th place finish in her first race of the season. Junior Bailey Evans and Sophomore Alyssa Hobson rounded out the varsity spots grabbing 20th place and 24th place with respective times of 25:58 and 26:40.
