Meet Recap

The Panther boys cross country team took advantage of unseasonably cool temperatures to run some good early season times on their way to a second place finish at the 13-team Bridgman Invitational. The boys saw their streak of four straight titles at the Bridgman Invitational come to an end as the host Bees finished in first. Jobe Kerr and Brendan Daly finished in 4th and 5th place with respective times of 17:29 and 17:36. Jobe’s time established a new personal record. Brody Roland grabbed 9th place in 18:16 with Brent Simmons finishing in 12th place with a new PR time of 18:30. Reese Jones made it five Panthers under 19 minutes as he ran an 18:59 to finish in 17th place. Dominick Tavolacci posted a 19:14 for 21st place. Freshmen Austin Roberts rounded out the top 7 varsity spots by breaking the 21-minute barrier with his 20:52 30th place finish. The rest of the Panther boys all posted much better times than they had at the opening meet of the season last Friday as Haydon Richards ran 21:14 with Klayton Marshall close on his heels in 21:17. Ryan Lefor crossed the line in 21:50 and Vinnie Doneruse came by in 23:29.
