The JV Lady Panthers rebounded from a tough loss in a big way, defeating Lawton in their home gym 38-37. The Panthers trailed by as many as 10 points in the third quarter, but quickly turned the momemtum in their favor to go into the fourth just one point behind. With 6 seconds left in the game and the Panthers down by one point, Zoe Smith was fouled. She stepped to the line and knocked down both free throws to give the Panthers the win. Zoe Smith led a balanced scoring attack with 10 points, followed by 8 points from Ariana Rowe. Three players (Miller, Shafer, Pitre) chipped in 6 points each. Rowe and Shafer each grabbed 8 rebounds. It was a complete team victory. The Panthers will be looking for payback next week, as they face Marcellus and Lawrence, which are responsible for the Panthers only two losses this season.
