Game Recap

The JV Lady Panthers travelled to Hartord to face a tough Indians team. Both teams came into this game with only one loss on the season. Watervliet fell behind early, but exploded in the second quarter, scoring 22 points and took a 12 point halftime lead. The Lady Panthers extended their lead in the third quarter and finished with a 49-27 victory. Jaelyn Pitre had a monster game, scoring 23 points, which included 5 baskets from behind the arc. Mikayla Lee made three 3-pointers to finish with 9 points, and added 4 assists. Taylor Shafer and Ariana Rowe each grabbed 7 rebounds, while Jade Miller had 7 steals. The post players battled very hard in the paint, and held their own against Hartford’s size advantage. This was the most complete game the girls have played this season, and they have now won nine games in a row.
