Last night the Middle School Cross Country team had their most difficult challenge at the meet. They faced a course through the woods with downed trees, narrow paths, and steep hills. With the 7th & 8th grade combined, Watervliet scored higher than any of the other 11 teams there! Leading the charge was Aron Casiano who won the race – and the trio of Swanson, Roberts, and Pazera who all finished in the top 11. Furthermore, Gus Hinch was the first 6th grader to finish. The team’s next competition is in Portage this Saturday, where they will face hundreds of other middle schoolers from all over the state of Michigan.
