Meet Recap

The Panther boys saw their 5-year streak of qualifying for the State Finals meet come to an end at the Regional meet at Red Bud in Buchanan. The boys team finished 7th overall in a tightly packed group of teams in which only 10 points separated 7th from 5th. A total of 18 teams competed in this season’s Regional meet. Jobe Kerr attacked the challenging course to finish 5th overall in 17:11. Jobe now moves on to compete in the State Meet next weekend at MIS in Brooklyn. Dominick Tavolacci was the second Panther across the finish line in 27th place. Brent Simmons brought his impressive high school cross country career to an end with his 35th place finish as he hopped from band duties, to cross duties, and back to band duties. Gus Hinch was just a tenth-of-a-second behind Brent as the freshman continued to show great potential. Klayton Marshall rounded out the Panther top 5 with his 60th place finish.
