Game Recap

On cold raining Friday afternoon, the Panther Softball team traveled to play the Bronson Vikings. Watervliet took home a 7-2 victory.

Watervliet Panthers took an early lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Logan Mizwicki drove in one run when she singled. Bronson tied the score in the bottom of the first. Watervliet took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Kara Liles homered, drving in one run. Both Celina Klimkiewicz and Theresa Skogen singled and driving in one run each. Watervliet had 13 hits in the game. Skogen, Zoe Smith, Liles, Ariana Rowe, Mizwicki, and Taylor Shafer each collected multiple hits for the Panthers

Kara Liles earned the win. She tossed six innings, allowing two runs, seven hits, and striking out four.

The game was called in the top of the seventh inning due to rain with the Panthers up 9-2.

Panthers improve to 20-7 on the season.

Panthers play tomorrow in the South Haven Softball Invitationals. The Panthers play at 11:00 and at 1:00.
