Game Recap

The Watervliet Panthers lost to Hackett Catholic Prep last night in Kalamazoo. The Panthers came out strong by playing together and outworking the Irish on the defensive end. This led to a 10-8 lead going into the 2nd quarter. The 2nd quarter continued much of the same trend with the teams exchanging baskets back and forth. The Panthers went into halftime with a 2 point deficit, 26-24. Coming out of the break, the Irish settled into their full court press, and the Panthers had troubles with it. This led to a run by Hackett as they pushed the score to 47-32 at the end of the 3rd. The trend continued in the 4th quarter as they final score ended up being 71-46.
Strong performances were put in by:
Cameron Rendo – 13 points including 4 3 pointers
Sheldon Tobar – 11 points
Ryan Chisek – 7 points
The Panthers look to finish their regular season strong as they travel to Delton-Kellogg tomorrow (Thursday 3/2/17) to play the other Panthers.
Watervliet Power.
Panther Pride.
