Meet Recap

The Panther boys put in a great overall team effort at the Comet Invitational in Kalamazoo. In a field of 15 teams, the boys finished 5th. Good effort in their training paid off as 7 of the team’s 14 runners set new PRs. Jobe Kerr captured 2nd place overall with a time of 17:08. Dominick Tavolacci was the 29th racer across the line in 18:34. Gus Hinch and Nick Swanson finished 35th and 36th with only fractions of a second dividing them. Their 18:51 was Gus’s second-best this season and was a new PR for Nick as he finished in the 18s for the first time in his career. Austin Roberts was the fifth Panther to finish setting a new PR of 19:20 good enough for 45th place. Other PRs on the day were Rick Ertman (19:23), Kody Edmonds (19:54), Alex Isbrecht (20:21), Trever Pelton (20:21), and Josh Gruszczyk (24:23).
