Game Recap

The Watervliet Panthers middle school football team suffered their first loss of the season last night, losing to the Constantine Falcons by a score of 36-24 at Panther Stadium. This ended the Panthers season with a 4-1-1 record. The Falcons started off the game with the ball, after giving up a few first downs the Panthers defense made a stop ending the Falcons drive deep in Panther territory. After going four and out the Falcons took over on our own 3 yard line. It took just 1 play for the Falcons to go up 8-0. After the kick off, it took the Panthers just 12 seconds to get on the board tying the score 8-8. The Panthers ended the first half down 22-8. The Panthers played hard all game and never gave up. I’d like to thank the parents and fans for the support you all have shown the players and coaching staff all season. Congrats to the boys on a great season and good luck to all the 8th grade boys as they move up to play on Thursdays night on the Junior Varsity level. They are getting a great group of young men. Go Panthers!!!
