Meet Recap

The Panther boys made the short trip down Red Arrow Highway to the Van Buren County Fairgrounds to participate in the annual Teske Invitational hosted by Hartford. While the boys did see their streak of 5 straight Teske championships come to an end, it was still a very successful evening. Nearly every boy ran their season best time on a course that is not known to produce fast times with its uneven footing, big hills, and muddy spots. Jobe Kerr made it 5 straight years a Panther finished 1st by running a 17:30 which is the second fastest time in the meet’s history. Dominick Tavolacci led a group of tightly packed Panthers with a 20:00 for 11th place. He was followed by 5 others who clocked times in the 20-minute range. Klayton Marshall missed his PR by only 2 seconds capturing 13th place, followed by Brent Simmons in 14th place, Nick Swanson in 16th place, Gus Hinch in 17th place, and Austin Roberts in 23rd place. The rest of the squad proved that their hard work is paying off as significant chunks of time were dropped from their previous races.
